Context: In the context of post covid development, globally leading eye care institute was looking to revisit its enterprise strategy to align its three key domains – Clinical Eye care, Research and Education

Challenge

  • In the context of post-covid surge in demand for services and emergence of various new digital and health technologies, there was a need to align the enterprise strategy
  • The strategy exercise was also considered as an opportunity to review the organisation and scan the environment to develop strategies in line with emerging realities of rising patient load due to variety of reasons

Our Solution

An in-depth series of stakeholder engagement led excerise was initiated to review the organisation and develop strategic options for the growth and alignment of the institution
  • Interviews with cluster leadership, internal leaders, specialists and researchers to understand future aspirations and key organisational challenges
  • Multiple focus group with staff to review the vision, mission, and values and also to gather wider aspirations for the future direction
  • Domain workgroups were facilitated to develop each domain strategy and aligned to develop common strategic priorities for each domain
  • An enterprise strategic retreat was facilitated with more than 60 leaders to finalise and socialise the enterprise strategic plan
  • As a key outcome, the project redefined SNEC enterprise strategy, adapting to post-COVID challenges and escalating patient demands.
